NADE 2009 – Study Skills

February 28, 2009 at 6:18 am Leave a comment

I had a great time presenting at NADE with Alan Bass in Greensboro. We had a great crowd, which definitely helped. We started by asking participants to list which sudy skills they felt were most important. Math anxiety, time management, note taking, and test preparation scored highest.

Alan talked about several study skills and I introduced an activity or two for each skill. Alan’s presentation can be found on his website.

After our discussion, we formed groups and asked each group for a couple activities that they use. We compiled a great collection of assignments. As soon as Alan & I type these up I will post them on my website, http://georgewoodbury.com.

In my next post I will move on to discuss time management.
